With the help of Allah SWT and the support of many volunteers, Radiant Hands Tampa’s first Fundraising Dinner was a great success. The event was a small dinner hosted by Sr. Muna Al-Aseer with food and Silent Auction items donated by generous individuals and businesses in the community.
Alhamdulillah, enough money was raised to cover the cost of rent, utilities and phone costs for the Radiant Hands Tampa office for one year.
Radiant Hands Tampa opened its doors January 5, 2015 and began offering free services to women and families in the community: Counseling, referrals to ESL and GED programs, referrals to free driving courses, transportation to and translation services at doctors’ appointments, etc. Insha’Allah, Radiant Hands Tampa will continue to hold fundraising events so that services can be expanded to include: Emergency Financial Assistance, Technology Classes, Job training, and Legal Services.
Radiant Hands Tampa sincerely thanks everyone who assisted with the Fundraising Dinner and everyone who has committed to becoming a monthly supporter of the RH Tampa.
